I just started reading "The China Study" and have never been more excited about reading a book!  I have only read a few pages but already feel as though this book should be a mandatory read. All I knew about the book before reading it was that Dr. Douglas Graham mentions it in his books, and that it was the largest research study based on diet and its correlation to disease. After reading the first few pages I know this book is based on true facts, honest research and written by a man who has a great passion to share the code for health and happiness.

NOTE: "The China Study" was written by a man who grew up on a milk farm and went to vet school to study how to increase the growth of animals so that our farming system could get us a greater amount of protein so that we may reach optimal health. During his quest, T. Colin Campbell, soon realized that he was headed in the wrong direction and after 27 years of research he is able to prove that animal products are harmful to our health.

"If you want to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast and then take cholesterol-lowering medication, that's your right. But if you want to truly take charge of your health, read The China Study, and do it soon!" (Foreward, The China Study)

MAIN RESULTS OF THE CHINA STUDY:
"People who ate the most animal-based foods got the most chronic disease. Even relatively small intakes of animal-based food were associated with adverse effects. People who ate the most plant-based foods were the healthiest and tended to avoid chronic disease." (p. 7, The China Study)
